Assess candidates' English proficiency.
Send candidates an English test and review their grammar, vocabulary and reading results on their profiles. Move forward with candidates who meet the proficiency level required for the role.
Test features Manage English testing in Hireall.
Send test invitations from your applicant list and review the results on each candidate's profile.
Questions adapt to the candidate's level
Question difficulty adjusts based on the candidate's answers. The test has 50 questions and takes up to 45 minutes.
See proficiency levels and scores
Get a CEFR level from A1 to C2 and a score out of 100. Review grammar and vocabulary results separately from reading comprehension.
Send test invitations by email
Each candidate receives a personal test link. They can complete the test in their browser without downloading an app.
Review test integrity
Tab switches, pasted text and attempts to access the test from another device are shown alongside the results. These records do not affect the test score.
Automate next steps based on results
Send the test automatically at your chosen stage. When it is complete, trigger the next steps based on the candidate's level or score.
Choose the test invitation pack you need
Choose a pack of 50, 100 or 250 invitations. If an invitation expires before the candidate starts the test, it is returned to your balance.
Adaptive questions Assess each candidate with questions suited to their level.
Correct answers lead to harder questions; incorrect answers lead to easier ones. The test adapts to assess each candidate's grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension.
Test integrity Review the integrity report alongside the test result.
The test records activity such as switching tabs or pasting text. These records are not proof of cheating and do not affect the score. Your team reviews them to decide whether further assessment is needed.
Automation Move candidates forward based on their English level.
For example, create a rule that moves candidates with a CEFR level of B2 or above to a phone interview. The rule runs when the test is complete. You can use a candidate's level to move them to another stage or send an email.
Use cases Assess English skills for roles that require them.
Use the same criteria to assess candidates' English proficiency, whether you're hiring for one role or running a larger recruitment programme.

Send test invitations to selected candidates through Hireall. Each candidate completes the test using the link in their email. Their profile shows a CEFR level (A1–C2), a score out of 100 and results by skill. CEFR stands for the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which defines language proficiency levels.
The test has 50 questions and takes up to 45 minutes. Each question has its own time limit. A question that is not answered in time is recorded as blank: it does not count as correct and lowers the reliability of the result.
It assesses grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension. Listening and speaking are not included.
The test records tab and window switches, pasted text, attempts to access the test from another device and unusual response times. You can review these records alongside the results. They are not proof of cheating and do not affect the test score.
Your company controls camera requirements in the test settings. If a camera is required, candidates must allow camera access and consent to the processing of their images before they can start. Still images are captured at regular intervals during the test; no audio or video is recorded.
You can buy packs of 50, 100 or 250 invitations. Sending a test uses one invitation from your balance. If it expires before the candidate starts the test, that invitation is returned to your balance.
